You can be something to everyone, or everything to someone - I'm doing the latter.
One morning I woke up, and instead of making coffee and watching the news - I drove to the local fabric shop where I fell in love with a few fabrics. Across the hall there was a bead shop, where I piddled about for an hour - not knowing what anything was and too embarrassed to ask. I spent $50 on 24 beads and a few findings that I didn't know how to use. I came home with my fabric and the beads and just started playing. For the first time in my life - I created something that looked like the idea in my head. From that point on - I made earrings, but had and still have so much to learn. Materials, beads, finding the right wood and stain, learning how to drill holes without ruining the wood - mixed with treasure hunts at local fabric and scrap stores. This is an adventure, and I love it. I started the store to help support this as a passion. Now I have found myself daydreaming about making different designs all day.
Every piece I make is something I would love to wear. I've always appreciated a wide range of styles, and I think that's what my earrings portray - my different moods, styles, designs and inspirations. I particularly love the mix of wood and metal with really interesting fabric. There is something to taking something refined and messing it up - or taking something soft and feminine and giving it a hard edge.
Anyway - thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you enjoy.
